Came across a new addition to the darkroom. I picked up this Seal Press for $200 and it works very well. Heavy sucker, sure am glad my two adult sons were home for the holiday to carry it downstairs...

I hope that you do not have to carry it around much. Enjoy it and get a lot of use from it.

Good thing you had a heavy-duty stand for it. The pad looks like it is in good condition--one of the first things to go on those. I'm jealous!

Nice! B&H had a deal on pads when I bought my press, they are almost $200 now. I like that these presses do 17x22 in one pass.

That is a HEAVY sucker -- but you got a SUPER deal. I can't remember how much I paid for mine, but I do remember moving it into the basement by myself. Fortunately, gravity was on my side. I built a sturdy 2x4" table for it and used two car jacks and several cinder blocks to get it off the floor and onto the table.

When I read the thread title, I thought that you had another child. :surprised:

Oooh, I want that so bad. Good going, it should give you lots and lot of flat prints. Or a double hernia if you ever have to move it by yourself. Whichever comes first.

I have the slightly smaller version of this press, purchased off Craigslist a number of years ago. Invaluable for flattening fiber prints quickly and dry-mounting prints as well. Handles mat board up to 23x18", which is all I'll ever need. Heavy as heck and takes a lot of space on the counter, but reliable and built to last.
