So I buy a 50mm Rokkor f/1.4 with a "non-working" XG-7 attached for $23, including shipping. Unboxed it tonight - lens is perfect; needs a little cleaning. XG-7 has no batteries. I pop a couple batteries in and behold! A fully operational XG-7. Well, it does need seals. And the leather could be replaced. But, still! I can probably sell the lens for more than the cost of the package; but I think I'll give it (and the camera) to one of my teenagers if they continue to show interest.
