I acquired a 6x6 camera but only have a 6x7 carrier. I am wondering if I need to get a 6x6 carrier.

1. Will the light spilling around the end of the 6x6 negative adversely affect the print?

Is it acceptable to just mask off one end of the 6x7 carrier? I thought about using unexposed film stock, taping it in place.

Equipment: Beseler 45.

Any ideas appreciated,
Steve.

you could mask it off with black tape, or make a board from 4ply mounting board to hold the negative in place.
