Howdy all,

I just picked up a new Beseler 4x5" enlarger and all's well except no lens boards. I've got 3 lenses, all with 39mm threads, so it'd be great to get 3 boards with retaining rings or threads.

The lens boards need to be 4"x4".

Let me know if you have anything and we'll work something out.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

I like to try APUG first, it's faster, friendlier, and APUG gets some money.

Freestyle has a version that will fit that enlarger and aren't that expensive.

I looked but could only find Beseler lens boards in the $85 range, which is expensive.

B&H appears to have jam nuts for $7 and boards for $15, so that's the price to beat. Also, there's a lens board for $10 on eBay.

Ok here's the deal.... to get 3 Delta lens boards and 3 jam nuts costs me $70. (yay, I can add!)

It's worth one last shot; if anyone can beat the price, I'll take it. Let me know...

Thanks

(thanks Ian)

I may have one or two in my basement. I'l check and get back tomorrow.

Ok, Ian C found me a cheaper lens board at B&H for $9.69.

So, three boards/rings is $53. Price to beat!

But, I'm holding out for mfohl now.

I'm in need of the same thing, would you mind posting the link the the one for 9.69, I couldn't find it on B+H's site

thanks

thanks, I didn't think that it was going to be a used one, I will wait to buy it so I don't steal your deal. I doubt they have very many of those.
I didn't know about the one for 15 so I'm happy either way.

That's great. I'll let you know if I end up getting that one or not.

That's what I would buy and that's the enlarger I just got as well, or nearly the same. You can measure the lens board opening, and it might be hard to tell if you're measuring exactly the right area (since there's a little spring, and a recessed area), but if it's near 4", rest assured a 4"² board will work.

I tested mine with one of my 4x4" LF lens boards and it fit fine.

I have a 39mm ring that fits 39mm Leica thread. $6 including shipping to US address .

Mr. Burger, I found two 4 x 4 inch lens boards in my basement. Each has the little plastic red tube that shows when the enlarger light is on. I had a Beseler 23C at one point, but opted for an Omega D2. I don't have any retaining rings, but I thought they always came with the lenses. If you need some, I can check with Midwest Photo (we're both in Columbus).

How's $20 shipped for the two of them?

Hi, I found two 4 x 4 inch Beseler lens boards in my basement. They are very clean, and each has the little translucent cylinder that shows you when the enlarger lamp is on. I don't have any retaining rings; I thought they came with the lenses. If you need those, I can check with Midwest Photo; we are both in Columbus.

I used to have a 23C, but later switched to an Omega D2

How's $20 for both boards shipped?

Tnx,

-- Mark

Done, thanks Mark.

Got 2 retaining rings off B&H; figured I can live w/o my 3rd lens at the moment (75mm, and I don't even have an MF camera!)

So, that used lens board is available and free for the taking as far as I'm concerned.
