I have used Neutol WA for some years, but my stash is about gone.
Can one of the wise heads recommend a replacement? I shoot landscapes and architecture primarily, film developer is either xtol or pyrocat hd.
I can make my own as I have a pretty good chemical shelf and scales, etc. (if that helps).
I used Ansco 130 with pretty good results, but the glycine does not have much of a shelf life.

ID-78 is the best alternative, just make sure you use the correct formula with 4.5gms Potassium Bromide as for years most US publications got it wrong. Digitaltruth & the 3rd Edition of The Darkroom Cookbook are correct :D

It's my main developer and has been for well over 20 years.

Try the Formulary's BW-65.

many thanks. I looked in Freestyle before I posted, must have halfheimizer's disease.

I switched to LPD for all my paper development, and it's right up there with the original Agfa qualities. Works great with all papers, but I especially love it with Foma 542 (replaced now with 543 or something like that?), and Fotokemika fiber. Brilliant.
