I am looking for suggestions for manufacturers or brands of cases that can be used for ULF cameras 11x14, 7x17, 8x20, 12x20. I want to be able to provide optional cases for my ULF cameras but at this time do not want to get into the mfg of cases.

The depth of the cases would need to be about 10" and then the profile about 6" over the format dimensions. (for 11x14 the case would need to be approx 10"x20"x17" for camera, 2 holders and a pair of lenses.) A deeper case would of course be more bulky but could provide room for light meter, filters, darkcloth etc.

Any suggestions or input from experiences would be most appreciated.
Thank you.

I've only heard good things about Strebor. I've been thinking of getting one for my 11x14", but I'll likely wait until I settle on how many holders and lenses I want to carry.

I like the hard cases with wheels at filmholders.com In fact he was going to make me a case as soon as I had the dimensions needed. I have the 6 holders comeing, and i'm thinkin g of getting 2 more. so if you can send me the dimensions or send them directly to the guy, it would help.

For premanufatured cases, try Pelican Cases and Porter Cases. Each has a web site listing their various sizes. I have a Pelican 1620 roller case and it is extremely rugged.

I own two Strebor cases and I wholeheartedly recommend them. They are definitely not cheap, but they are beautifully contructed and custom made to order.

Jim, unless you want to manufacture the cases, (you mention offering to your customers) it is a better value for the customer to have the specs and have one custom made? I have purchased from e bay used anvil cases that work fine for hard core shipping--re do the inside with foam...example a 24 x 24 x 9, used for 14 x 17, $ 70.00, new this would probably be 400+ just a thought...
good luck with your exciting camera project.
