Choosing 2/3 stop adjustment + incident metering should give slightly greater exposure to the negative that you print down. The additional information in the shadows may or may not ever be seen by viewer. If there was something important you could reveal it.

I set my speed to 2/3 stop adjustment for both reasons at the same time.
Sorry to bring up an old thread...

When you expose at 2/3 box speed, do you use standard development times (for box speed) or do you reduce development?

The change in speed rating does not have a corresponding change in processing.

p.s. that's 2/3 stop (two marker positions) less than rated speed - not to be confused with 2/3 of the rated speed.

The scanning problem never stop managed to understand, talk more of convincing the tackle. And there is more difference between the resolution of film structure information and resolved information contained on the film. Zone System is a good way to plan how you will expose and develop the film.
