I have a couple of Kodak Ektapros with flat field lenses that I am using to project images and text printed on overhead film. I recently bought a bunch of GePe Anti-Newton Slide Mounts (both glasses being anti-newton), but in my delivery most of them were actually regular glass mounts. I doubt I will be able to make a return before my work will be exhibited, so I need to work with what I have (60 AN slides and 100 clear glass slides).
How big is the risk of Newton rings with regular glass slides and what does it actually look like? I've tried to google, but I haven't really been able to get a clear image of it.
Since I am printing rasterized images, my work is pretty "lo-fi" as it is, so I feel like additional imperfections from the projection could be really problematic.
On the other hand, I see people talking about different types of film being differently sensitive to Newton rings. Since I am working with oh film and digital printing, is there anything in that part of the process that could improve the projections?
I know there are AN mounts with one an-treated frame and one clear frame. Since I have some AN mounts, I should be able to split them and mix with the clear glass ones. But if I do this, which frame should go where? Or does it matter where the AN-glass is placed?
