I need a filter that will let UV pass - pretty much the opposite of a UV skylight filter...
Its for a project
(there was a url link here which no longer exists) - (I was split for which forum to put this discussion in)
As you can see, its not for imaging directly so it doesn't need to be an actual photography filter - Such a product probably exists at least in a Edmunds Scientific catalog, but I'm hoping for a cheap option...
Any ideas ? What is the glass they use for UV fluoro bulbs ? If I could get a bit of that to put around the sensor would that work ? Or is it just purplish glass with a phosphor coating that wont help as much as I am hoping ?
Just a deep blue/violet Cokin resin filter that has good UV transmission might suffice ?
any help appreciated,
thanks,
Nick
