I'm doing my best to break those two up, or at least a large fight that might postpone the wedding to another weekend, but no luck so far. I'll keep persevering though.

Thanks for the offer! We'll definitely make our way down soon and camping would be perfect.
 
Just booked a hotel for Sue and I for July 16-18. I believe we will be in Streetsboro on the other side of the park. Not to worry I can get lost anywhere!

We had the tree in our front yard hit by lightning on Wednesday. Took out a big chunck of it. Gave me a new respect for storms

Just a heads-up - Someone in the Detroit area is selling a Durst Labrador 8x10 enlarger with all the condensers and extra bulbs. He's asking $500 for it.

I'd buy it but its too tall for my darkroom!

An enlarger that runs off and drags big sticks and dead animals ( ... well mostly dead) into your darkroom? Maybe useful for photograms, distressed negatives, or some alternative processes ...

For more traditional purposes, I think John would back me up on a preference for Labradors outside the darkroom rather than in it, although I had a fledgling Cardinal occupying mine two days ago. He was released into the custody of his worried parents after feather dusting some of the shelves. Luckily he made no deposits.

When I was looking at one of those, before I found the seven foot Durst138 8x10 conversion, Dolly wanted me to have it so much that she was considering building a closet in the living room so the Durst head would be hidden with the base underneath in the darkroom. I thought she was kidding and said, “You know we don't really need a closet to go up to the ceiling. If we could just hollow out the hassock in front of the easy chair, that would be enough height." Fortunately we didn’t have to go to that extreme, but I thought it was so nice that she was willing to consider such idiocy.

Yeah. Dale knows more about this than I do because he has one. As I understand it, the unit goes up to 11 feet off the floor. Dolly said we could build a closet above it in the living room. The head would rise up into the closet. I can just see some guest getting ready to go. "No, don't open that closet door to get your coat. John is printing."

Instead the head would only come up 7 feet in the basement, one foot between floors, and 2 feet into the hassock. It would have to be cold light head because a condenser set up would be too hot. I was fairly sure I wouldn't need to go all 11 feet because I only print up to 20x24.

Now that we have gotten that insanity out of the way would you listen and critique my practice proposal to Dolly as to why we need three yellow Lady Labrador Retrievers? This is going to be a tough sell. She is just barely letting 12 year old Savannah live out her potential 12-14 years, wanting because of allergies and shedding to go back to one dog. S has also developed this endearing habit of barking early in the morning, 4:30-6, wanting to she says go out to potty. Reality indicates, yes she wants to go out, but she also wants to come back in quickly for breakfast.

A certain small pack has recently decided that 6am is a much better time for breakfast than the original 7:30. :rolleyes:

They have probably gotten used to rise, shine and have breakfast with the baby. Maybe Savannah would be more comfortable with a like minded greedy gullet pack. Would delivery this Thursday be better than Friday?

Patience. At 16 years it shifts to 3pm in the summer in some population samples.

I look forward to that. And to the ability to get him to sleep. The small pack are the 4-legged children, though. The 2-legged variety only sleeps in 3-5 hour increments so far. He's the child of 2 nightowls - with our luck, he'll become a morning person.

Oops! Misconstrued the reference.

If you have two of the 2 legged variety there is close to a 100% chance that one will be a morning person and the other a night owl. Our 4 legged resident is only one, and she knows I'm not the soft touch in the family.

Different fur balls' mileage will vary. Savannah says she likes the hairy two legger. She only likes two leggers that feed, pet, walk or throw sticks and apples for her.

Thanks for sharing these, Lee2. Good thing I shaved the beard for summer, just can't quite pull it off like Lee1. =)
