Very special thanks again to John and Dolly for making a very nice weekend possible for all of us, even when dealing with their own trials.
Thanks also to Peter for the great demonstration and for showing us some excellent new places to shoot. And to everyone else, thanks for the great company and fine work shown.

PS: Anyone ever been to Squire's Castle? Looks like it might be an interesting place to shoot next time.
....even mess around with the dangerously addictive 7x17.
I'm sorry to have missed it but got stuck in the SQL Server upgrade from hell.Hopefully next time...

I didnt think we would ever go so public about such a private thing until it turned into an emergency last Friday that meant we were not going to be here last Friday for the start of the event.
Dolly and I spent the morning today at the Cleveland Clinics Women Heath Department for what she described as very intensive and painful mammography. There was an evaluating doctor on site. He sent her home with instructions that there was no need for further exploration. That direction was very good news and a wonderful twentieth wedding anniversary present.
Thank you all for your well wishes and concerns.

Thanks Peter. I have a Kodak Brownie Safelight Kit with the green dome. For others that are interested, I plan to test green LED light as well when I get the time. The #3 green safelight filter passes under 0.02% of light in a narrow passband centered on 520nm. The green LEDs I have are centered on 525nm, and I plan to dim them to match the output of Peter's setup and/or the Brownie Model B green dome. (I'll pre-emptorally state that I'm not up for discussing on APUG whether or not the LEDs will work for DBI. PM me if you want to be in touch about it.) I'll let folks know how it works when/if I get the chance to test or at our next gathering. If anyone is interested in playing with DBI, here are some cheap options on green #3 safelights. The Kodak model B lights with the green #3 dome are abundant on ebay for $10-$20. These take a 7W bulb. You'll just have to rig up a footswitch setup.
