ND Filters and Daytime lightning?

I was just wondering if anyone has done this? I was thinking that a f/22 with ISO 64 film and a ND filter that does 10 stops would give me nearly 32 second exposures in broad daylight....

Having moved to the SW, I've been pondering if you could have long enough daytime exposures to capture scenes with lightning but "normal" looking light.

Thoughts?

sure. also look up lightning trigger.

Interesting, but I'm shooting a Mamiya 7, so I don't think an electronic shutter mechanism will work (it takes a standard threaded plunger)

I have a gradulate ND filter which I use some. I never use for lightning pictures! I was never quick enought!

Never played with ND grad filters. Been curious though. RF's aren't the best cameras for using those type of filter i've learned.
