Name of Ilford liquid developer?

Or is there even such a thing?? I can pick up HC-110 at my local camera shop, but they don't seem to carry the Ilford liquid equivalent. Can I develop B/W Ilford film in HC-110? Can I develop most anything in HC-110? :confused:

HC-110 will work with all films given the correct dilution and development time. You can often get that by comparing film types and speeds.

I develop Ilford, Kodak, Agfa (Rollei), Lucky and Maco in HC-110. I like it because it's easy, produces nice results for me and it lasts forever. I also use Ilford DDX when I shoot Ilford Delta film. I just bought some TMAX developer because DDX is getting a little hard to find around here.

Stephen, Ilford are a very helpful bunch

There is all sorts of really useful information on it about nearest equivalents for competitors products, together with a great deal of data on developing times, capacity and replenishment rates for their products

In answering the 2nd & 3rd parts of your questions - yes you can develop Ilford Films (and anyone elses for that matter) in HC110 - B&W developer is B&W developer & works pretty much on any B&W film ~ although some Film/Dev combinations work better than others

Manufacturers quote their own films in their own developers to try and try to keep you using their family of products - it makes good commercial sense

You're right. Ilfotec HC is the highly concentrated developer used like the US version of HC-110. The common dilution ratio is 1+31. LC-29 is the equivalent of the "foreign" version of HC-110 in that it is already diluted to make a stock solution. Read about Ilford LC29 and Ilfotec HC here. I've been using Ilfosol III, which is, I think, like D-76. I like that it comes in liquid form so I can mix what I need and dispose of it. I do note that it doesn't last too long once it's opened. Anybody else have any experience with it?
I may try the Ilfotec HC as it seems to be recommended.
