Naked Hasselblad

Had some work done on my 500c by a retired Hasselblad tech. Took a few shots, I'd never seen the insides of the lens and body before. It's so intricate and precise, he had a diagnostic/calibration tool for everything.

I know how you feel. I had my Hasselblad SWC serviced last week by Wilco Jansen, a Hasselblad expert in The Netherlands. He also fixed the shutter of my old Konica III rangefinder. He opened up my SWC and showed me what needed to be done. He even adjusted the film back for free.
Quite a mechanism on the inside, isn't it? Now I'm sure I won't even try it myself

Nice illustration of why you don't see too many do-it-yourself 'blad repair folks here.

Which is why I like folders. They're perfect for home repair people like me. Open the back, and just about everything you need to know is right there in front of you. Never had one lock up on me either :]

It sounds like you met my old friend Joe, a great guy. He may have told you that the style of shutter damper on your camera has not been used for 40 years but you have clearly looked after it, should be good for another 40 years. That is not an official service interval by the way.
