So a little while back I picked up amy old Leica III and a 50mm Summicron but was also looking to get an Elmar as they are much more compact when collapsed. Instead I found this camera and had to buy it. It's a early 1930's Nagel Volenda folding camera with the very same Leitz Elmar 50mm f3.5 lens I was looking for. It shoots 127 film with an image about 50% larger then 35mm. So not as big as my Rolleiflex but larger then my Leica. It's roughly the same size image as the new Hasselblad and Fuji mirrorless medium format cameras that costs a fortune. I'm surprised Leitz even made lenses for other manufactures and that the 50mm Elmar can cover the frame. It's in pretty amazing shape for its age and appears to be fully functional with a clean lens. I just ordered some 127 film from freestyle photo to see how good the pictures come out. Hope you guys like this weird old camera, I can't wait to use it.
