n00b question

I'm trying to set up a darkroom and have never processed film or done any enlarging at all. I have an enlarger (a durst 605), three chemical trays, a lens and that's about it. Can someone tell me what else I need and maybe recommend a good book that could teach me with having no prior experience? I just want to do black and white.

Henry Horenstein's classic "Black & White Photography: A Basic Manuel (3rd Edition, revised).

It is what I assign to all my college students taking 'Introduction to Photography.'

Horenstein is a great teacher because he simplifies all the steps.

Reading through some of the threads here may give you some ideas, too. If you learn best visually, your best bet is to try and find a class to get you started.
