Thermostatic valves come with different temperature ranges and different connecting fittings. You really need to pay close attention to the specs as there will be a range of them by each manufacturer.
Mine is a Honeywell that will do 21-49 degrees Celsius which covers black and white and color processing. In my case I just leave it at 21 because I'm only doing black and white. Its been rock solid for years now.
