My Rolleiflex 2.8FX shutter speed dial is stuck

I don't know how it happened, but the dial for the shutter speed is stuck. Not completely, it can move with a lot of force.
Any advice before I search for a place to send it for repairs?

Don't use force. The only time that has happened with my FX is when I took the front cover off to unscrew the lens front elements to clean out dust. When I put it back together I got it miss linked and the shutter dial wouldn't move. I took it back apart and got it right. I wouldn't suggest you do that. I am curious how much you have used the camera.

So a TLR is a TLR right? This Roli has a between the lens shutter, just like most TLR's. I would think that either something is jammed, or you haven't used it in a long while. More information is needed.

I have been shooting with it quite a bit lately.
As a matter of fact, it had a roll of film, just on frame 3.
I took it on an excursion over the weekend where I used it a lot, I came back, took it out of the bag and left it on a table, then picked it up today.
The camera is new, made in 2008.

My guess is it's had an un-noticed knock or jolt, or perhaps a screw's come loose inside, the problem Ari has is there won't be a camera repair shop on Crete.

I'm sorry to hear that Ari I seem to remember you doing some belly dancer shots with it about a year ago, did it suddenly get stiff or has it been a gradual process? My bet is like Ian said somehow a knock or jolt...

I got it back and its more or less fixed but not completely.
The shutter speed dial rotates smoothly in one direction (slower to faster) but it is very, very stiff on the other.
Shit.
I would need to be on top of a technician to demand a good job and it is not presently possible.

Bad luck

I was lucky when I had my Rolleiflex and Yashicamat repaired, they've been perfect since. But I've had 3 very poor repairs by the official repairer/importer of Mamiya(thats 3 out of 3).
