I'm printing photos in the school lab from my Nikon D80 through Epson 3800. they all come out with a pink tint. They don't have any pink tint from the taking of them all the way through the editing and up to the print preview but when they come out they're pink. Other people have printed fine pictures on this printer, I've tried printing from different media, I've even tried editing out ALL of the pinkish colors, and still I get pink pictures. Is anyone familiar with this problem? thanks.

pink...

Is your monitor color calibrated?
Are you using the right paper profile for your media?
Have you done a nozzle check?
Are you using the right parameters in your printer driver settings?
What color management settings are you using?
.....
a bit more information would help.

I had a similar problem long ago.If you are printing through PS color proofing would help, so you can see the difference. It is a color space management problem.

thank you so much for the information. We actually put in a new Lt. Cyan cartridge and it did the cleaning process as well. nozzle check looks good too.
I ended up to print all my work from another 3800 connecting to another mac.

Print preview doesn't display colors remotely close so don't make any judgements about the image color based on the preview.

It you are getting a pinkish cast on every print it sounds like you may have an ink cart problem or perhaps you are double profiling or you are using the incorrect ICC profile.
