I posted a month or so ago about my new commercial site. Well, my portrait site was a little primitive and hadn't been updated in a long time, so I've completely rebuilt it as well. The one thing I still need to do is add more images to the "tall people" gallery -- which I'm shooting this week.

Please feel free to have a look around. Hope you enjoy it.

I like the way the website is set up. Smooth. And I especially love your 'short people' gallery. Those are thee best short people photos I've ever seen.

Hi Cheryl,

Your site looks great, and beautiful photos.

Sometimes these flash based sites tend to be sluggish, up to the point of being unusable, but yours isn't. Good. Also nice you thought about including a slideshow feature, my first critic with many sites.

The web site...clean and simple. Shows your work very well.

Your work...I am inspired. Very nice indeed!

Would like to know what film you are useing for the most part(I just really like what I see), or is it a big mix.

I am fairly new to B&W film(well film in general) and so I am trying every thing I can get my hands on. I am also developing myself and will soon build a darkroom to start printing. I am just wondering if are useing something that I have not tried yet, if so I will be sure to try it out.

Thanks

Jason

The site is well done; very inviting, well laid out, quick. The images are just a delight. Great job!

Thank you very much for the nice comments. To answer a few questions, I shoot almost entirely Tri-X 320 (220 format) in Tmax developer. I don't fix what ain't broke.

I actually really hate web design and am so glad to have this one done. I'm still adding to the "tall people" gallery, and am having fun doing it.

Thanks again for the great feedback.

It's very nice, and the best part is getting to see some new (to me) photographs.

On your previous site, I did quite like the way you mixed images and text. It was also great to delve into galleries based on the themes: your favourites, need a laugh? etc

While I like that about the old site, this is nice and modern, and also navigates easily. It is also good that the commercial/personal work is split with the child portraits.... and having the slideshow is a nice touch.

So you designed this yourself? I don't think I'd have the temperment for something like that. Well done.

Ciaran, thanks for the comments. Actually, I will be putting some text back in with the images at some point, but felt I was getting pulled around too much by it, rather than being free to combine images and let them speak. And, to be honest, my text and concepts have been so heavily "borrowed" by other photographers that I wasn't particularly motivated to provide them with new material.
