My Orange Leica

Having a history using Leica cameras I wanted to customize one. If anything for the shock and comments of my fellow forum members.

My favorite color is Orange.

I thought I would share this as I took these recent photos for a sale post in the classifieds.


Along with stripping the chrome and nickel. It was painted orange and I had a custom Orange leather covering cooked up. A new beam splitter was installed before I buttoned it all up. One of the cleanest shutter crates and curtains I’ve ever seen in any of the Leicas I’ve worked on.

This wasn’t my first camera paint project but it’s likely to have been one of my last lol. It’s a real PIA.

Ha very cool, Im sure it would go well with Erics tiger skin coat.
I prefer my more concentrative brassed up iiib, but that would certainly get noticed.

I want to do maybe one more 35mm camera and a MF camera and ill hang up the chemistry to the appropriate recycler's

Weeeel, if the Lord in Wetzler had meant for Leicas to be "orange", he would have made them "orange"............Regards!
