Hi folks,
as a total newbie to pinhole photography I am very glad that this fascinating aspect of analog photography came to my knowledge a few days ago. Thanks to all of you posting here!

I was instantly attracted to the pinhole style and the concept of such "simple" cameras.

Today my Ondu 6x6 arrived. I am so happy! It is a wooden wonder: haptically perfect, great design - and even the scent of the wood is marvellous. I never tried medium format before so that camera will offer a double premiere for me.

Already got plenty of film and an app for my cell phone as well as a tripod, so the trial can begin. Hope for some decent light the next days and enough patience and motivation to enjoy - hopefully - some beginner's luck.

Welcome to Photrio - nice having you here and I'm sure you will enjoy the friendship of other film enthusiasts.

Can I make a suggestion for timing your photos? Having a digital watch with either a countdown timer or a chronograph really helps (easier than using your app's built in timer). Some exposures are only seconds long and having a timer which counts down every second while beeping helps you count out your exposure time.

I just bought a Harman Titan pinhole for Christmas- like you I jumped into pinhole photography and an unknown film format. For me it was 4x5 film. Good luck! It's lots of fun! It's not an ondu, but if you're interested into how pinhole worked out for me there's this thread:

and another interesting thread from @rpavich :

The Ondu cameras look gorgeous. I looked long and hard at them but decided on going to 4x5 just because I had access to an automatic film processor which works with that size film much better than 120 (or 135, or 110 for that matter). Oh- and don't just wait for good light outdoors- pinhole can work well indoors as well and you can light the scene however you desire!

Thanks, folks, for your welcome! And your suggestions as well.
I am really intended to go into large format and self developing this year and 4x5 is top of my list! Will probably be a wooden camera again (of what company may provide a proper one, I know there are others than Ondu), because I really love the haptic and the look.

Indoor photos are possible? Excellent! I will do a selfie from me at the office. It will work out perfectly even with very long exposures, cause I never move, not even a finger, when sitting at my desk! Ask my boss!
