Has quit. If you turn it on, either on the camera or off, the zoom seems to be hunting. The only way to stop it is to take out the batteries. Occasionally the screen comes up, but even so the flash doesn't work. I bought it on ebay about a year and a half ago. Haven't used it much, but when I have it's always worked before. The outside looks almost new.

Is this worth sending somewhere to be fixed, and if so where? I'm in Canada.

TIA for any advice!

I would guess that you may be able to find one used for less than it would cost to repair it. I have an sb-28 that has a broken foot (bought a spare part to fix ,but bent some springs in the process), anyway it otherwise works fine. I never use it. If you'd like to give your hand a go at repair (transplanting the foot from your flash onto this one) I'll ship it out to you.
