It's DONE, ready to make the journey across the Atlantic from Italy. Back in May of 2016, Alessandro Gibellini and I made a wishlist of all kinds of cool looks for this 4x5 camera. We took our time on this super custom version of his ACN45, worked through things like where in the heck to source blue carbon fiber, accepting a custom ground glass, etc. So now it is ready to go, even comes with a set of white bellows for when I am shooting long hours in bright sunlight using infrared film. I already have and use a very light Chamonix 45N2 which is fantastic but I found I needed a heavier camera for other kinds of shooting. So this ACN45 will weigh about 5.6 pounds, 2.3 pounds more than the Chamonix and will have an ultra bright Maxwell screen installed when I get it.

I could have went with a Linhof or another camera but I wanted to support this young man's inspired efforts and dream up a heck of a beautiful camera that will be as much of a marketing magnet as a tool.

Thanks for all your hard work Alessandro Gibellini, you are one of a kind in this world of photography and your cameras are a testament to that. For more info check out http://www.gibellinicamera.com

Here are some pics, the last two are better shots of the blue CF while work in progress...

Fantastic visual camera – oddly, I really like the white bellows! Congrats on the investment. Gibellini does show some beautiful equipment on his site.

If you can find one of those Wollensak Pro Raptars in the blue shutter, it would be a nice potential match

Congratulations! The camera looks great! Now where in the world are you going to find a matching blue tripod? :D

I am most likely going to get a 150 Apo Sironar N like in the photo and have the shutter speed dial anodized blue...bandit:

Last Summer I found a mint condition 25th anniversary Bogen tripod in all silver. I bet I could get some blue handles made....

Now for the "Outfit"....hehe....

I don't see any bubble levels on the camera. Is it a feature?

I opted to not have them for a cleaner look, use other methods.

I never found the ones on my Chamonix to be all that reliable so I started carrying a small quarter sized spirit level in my pack and place it on the base when I think I am close.

Good on you for supporting a youngster with so much obvious talent. Love the white bellows, I just don't know why I like it!
