Wow! Now I know what you guys have been raving on about!!! Wow! The detail is amazing! Wow! I seriously did not realise it would be that crispy. The photo itself is not that great. It's our three-year-old sitting in a chair, and the depth of field is questionable and there is a bit of subject movement...but the texture on the chair is exquisite. Huge thanks to Marc for his large contribution to my LF darkroom, and also thanks to Stephen Frizza for the 150mm lens he gave me some time ago.

Kevin,
One thing large format will teach you is ............................................. patience.

Posted wirelessly..

Very inspiring. I now have no choice but to develop the 30 exposed 4x5 negatives that have been languishing in my darkroom fridge.

The really good part, is that you now have movements, even if you don't use them much, they are the icing on the cake!

Mick.

I have barely even started playing with the movements yet, but I know that I will be impressed. As it turns out, for a bad reason, there may be a chance to play with the movements tomorrow.

I think I'll need to spend a few months just getting the sheet film processing under control. I'm getting a few too many pinholes and scratches for my liking. I think I'll go to a water stop for the Efke, and just try to treat the film a bit more carefully in general. I'm liking Fuji Acros.

Yes, Tom. I bought some film holders and some film (Efke and Acros) on YOU-KNOW-WHERE and have now shot two sheets of my 10 Acros sheets. Compared with the FP4 I bought separately and the Efke (from the same YOU-KNOW...) the Acros seems more resilient to my processing technique. Will probably buy some more.
