Alan S. answered my call for a Canon 7. He sent me a beautiful Canon 7 with a 1.4 50 and a 1.7 35. Oh BOY! This'll be fun. It looks like a real sweetie.

Jim...small format? Are you feeling OK?

Well, let us see some results from that big 'ol piece of glass, eh?

I need a CANON strap so I can wear this everywhere in LA. I'm not gonna take pictures with it, it's just for snob appeal :surprised:

Nah, this is a Canon 7 - we're talkin' '60's here!

You need one of those wide paisley straps - and some ultra cool Ray Ban shades!

Congrats! But that's alot to go thru just to be ignored/snubbed by the "L" crowd anyway! You'll find 'em sneaking peeks at the 0.95 glass, tho

Hi Jim,

Congrats on the purchase, but have you figured out how you are going to affix one of those large (really large) lenses to it??? :surprised: :D

Rich

I'm thinking screw mount adapter to 4" ABS waste pipe adapted to petzval brass cannon.......

Jim Galli--the man that got his DD V-11 now dares to pack around a mickey mouse snapper. Good Gosh Man !!! A real man such as yourself should be toting around that Deardorff monstrosity that way you can snub those "L" users. In the the meantime we here at APUG will be wishing you the best while your back recovers !! I know, as I am going in for a 3 level spinal fusion after XMas---all 'cause I thought I'd be a real man !!
I'm a RF fan myself and no snubs here----Mamiya 7 II (Sharpest danged glasss on the planet !!) and an M5 with 50 mm SummiLux !! My back made me do it!!

Jim has been jealous of the "gigapixel" project. He plans to go to the Grand Canyon and take 1000 pictures and paste them together to make a mural.

Gotta love that big glass, but I'm predicting you'll love the 50/1.4 even more. Have you seen Raid's 50s lens tests over on RFF? Interesting stuff.

Are you referring to my incredibly awesome wide 60's strap? :D

I wear mine with pride, though it is no longer gracing a rangefinder. It is attached to my Nikon FE.

I still have one and I'm now going to attach it to my Bronica in Tucson - to reduce "neck fatigue" of course.

But it does look cool too.
