... and sometimes packages just get misdirected. I’m watching the tracking on a package that’s just been sent to a post office 1500 miles in the wrong direction. Seen this before, but rarely; at some point it will get put on the right truck!
Tracking numbers are one of the most useful improvements to USPS service they’ve ever made.

I called the lab and they said they had an unprecedented backlog - so, I guess that could explain it.
I have never had any problems with the USPS. They are, and always have been, the most cost effective and most reliable option.

Lesson: Never ship anything of any value without tracking number. Best values are those fixed size Priority Mail boxes. They come with tracking numbers and deliver in 2 days.
