Just found out today that the Tallahassee, Fl. Costco will stop processing C41 35mm film due to low volume; apparently only about 560 rolls were processed in the last year.
I guess I will now have to go to one of the pharmacies for processing; I will miss the usually high quality of work I found at Costco but at least they still retain the capacity of doing prints from 35mm color negatives up to 11x14 using their RA4 processor and larger using a digital processor. I will continue to use my Jobo CPP2 to process all my other film from 21/4 to 8x10.

Go to the Costco website and call any Costco near you and see if they still do the processing.

Sorry to hear that news. I use costco for the price, but I've noticed my negs are horribly scratched...wonder if they need to clean the equipment and if I should say something. Their cd software is yuk.

Much the same story here in Toronto, where only one Costco still processes film for a market of 5.5 million--and that's reportedly ending sometime next month. Cheap 35mm processing is virtually dead, with roll film on the endangered list as service slows and prices rise.

Yep, surprised to hear that the local costco (both in the Raleigh/Durham area) don't process film anymore. Also stuck with CVS for budget developing. We have a pro lab nearby, but they're spendy for just snapshots...

It is sad to see these places dissappearing. I will use all of my local places even CVS now and again just to give them some buissness all though it probably doesn't help. 560 rolls a year I guess must be low for minilab equipment. That's just say an average of 2 rolls a day. Maybe some days no rolls. I don't know about how tempermental minilabs are but it must be a problem keeping them for that kind of volume.
