Gordon, my cat is not fat (where are your manners ?)... she may be a bit overweight, but not FAT !!!
She also likes to rest for 23 1/2 hours per day, but what the hell ? We're free to do as we wish in this life, aren't we ? Who am I to decide that my cat needs exercise ? If she wants to sleep, I let her sleep. After all, she is 13 now and still in great form, never was sick or anything (except for once, when we decided to vaccinate her - against her will, of course-, and she felt lousy for two weeks and didn't stop complaining).
