I wasn't aware Blurb makes analog books. The (digital) Blurb I did several years ago was so poorly made and printed, I won't show it to anyone. I'll have to reconsider now that they obviously use true photographic processes and papers, of course :whistling:.

:whistling:

ahh yes.

what can one do. If you prefer, you could buy the originals!.... they are truely analouge (but maybe in another price range...:munch: )

I actually think the quality of the prints are acceptable. Better than expected, being di'''al....

Congratulations, I wasn't aware that you did color work. Love your images both B&W and color.

A question. You have enough material there to have three or four different smaller books. Figures, alt process, landscapes, portraits all have enough good material to make some nice tightly organized specific projects. What was your process for deciding to make one volume?

hi Joe.

I made this book for a couple of reasons.

Firstly it is my first - and you're right: I have enough to make several different books - on themes or techniques.

My school has taken an interest in having a stack of a book of mine - not too big - so we can sell it for students or members of short courses...

It is also a try - out.

To see whether a book like is something to go for.

A mix of candys maybe?

It might prove too mixed, but I am in the process of making more books - If I like them, I'll publish them.

Thanks for your comment.

Emil,

I love your candies.

I don’t see any mention of what size the book is. Can you help?

I want a giant copy but unfortunately can only pay their price.

Wonderful work.

Congratulations on some strong and beautiful naked portraits

I use the term "naked portraits" rather than "nudes" because you seem to have engaged with your subjects personal qualities - To me engagement with the subject is crucial and I admire your work

(I tried to say this on the Blub comments page, but that wanted me to be part of FB)

My copy arrived today. The printing quality looks great to me, but I've never seen a print in person, to have a comparison. Still, there are subtle tonalities which, I imagine, are in Emil's originals. The binding, and presentation, is first rate. It's a little gem of a book. Now, if I could just get an original....

Count me in for a larger one...
I wish I could afford an original. I've been spending my money killing my own darlings...
