Bertus, ..yes.. it is really great to see ya back again.

Ha .. Always have been intrigued by these pinhole images, some of them created in home made, ah, ... camera boxes.
Gonna have to investigate how these are made.
With another laugh, and a bit off topic, but any suggestions on where to begin.

I found everything on YouTube about pinhole, and started simple with a needle-hole in thin metal in front of a 4x5 camera. The trick is making viewfinder- guide-lines on the camera to pre-visualisation your image, there is no groundglas at all, you see nothing. Here are some examples of my pinholes and the cover of my new pinhole book.

I love that Golden Gate! Polished my 40mm bronica wide lens to take NEW panoramic photos next week in the port of Rotterdam. I think it's a fun assignment.

Ah, Sirus Glass in motion, welcome aboard Monthly Shooting Assignment.. good to see ya ..and we take it that your image is an OLD one ,,

Well done, with lots of oldies but goodies, but how about some more fresh and NEW .. to add to the decore of the Panorama's we have here to view. ..

BTW some history : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panoramic_photography

"The device of the panorama existed in painting, particularly in murals as early as 20 A.D. in those found in Pompeii, as a means of generating an immersive 'panoptic' experience of a vista, long before the advent of photography. In the century prior to the advent of photography, and from 1787, with the work of Robert Barker, it reached a pinnacle of development in which whole buildings were constructed to house 360° panoramas, and even incorporated lighting effects and moving elements. Indeed, the careers of one of the inventors of photography, Daguerre, began in the production of popular panoramas and dioramas.

The idea and longing to create a detailed cityscape without a paintbrush, inspired Friedrich von Marten. von Marten created panoramic daguerreotype by using a special panoramic camera that he created himself. The camera could capture a broad view on a single daguerreotype plate. In complete and vivid detail, a cityscape is laid out before the viewer.

The development of panoramic cameras was a logical extension of the nineteenth-century fad for the panorama."

May 2019 so I guess that is old.

For the msa panorama, I shot a few filmrolls in Rotterdam this week with the Bronica and a 40 mm wide-angle lens. Here's the World Museum: 1/250-F11 - Ilford FP4 in HC110 dill B 9 min, scanned with an Epson perfection.

Ahh, .. the beauties amidst we spend our lives, and which we take photos of, .. trying to capture the essence of the indescribable..
"The whole panorama may be vibrating with beauties man has not yet the soul to see. Some already living, no doubt, see beauties that we ordinary men cannot appreciate."
Quote from Kashmir: p. 15~16 ... Sir Francis Younghusband; Adam & Charles Black, London, 1909

So there's a couple of days left ... anymore coming, ... .. to meet the challenge of this MSA? :sideways:

A several years old one that some will have seen before:
Campbell pano-08f-2012-10-02.jpg

Cropped from a scan of a 6x4.5 film original. For the life of me I can't remember whether it was Ektachrome or Portra, but I think it was Ektachrome.

Oh what a beautiful response with all the Panorama's. Really liked all the pinholes and looking into finally trying that out, and shooting some.
Will try it first with a regular camera, with a pinhole lens made for it, that will get us involved deeper into the process.

Still curious macfred where are all those people going to in post # 4 "On the Water" ?
Post #13 by TheFlyingCamera was one of the runner ups to this months winner.
And jimgalli post # 19 my goodness what a panaoram, 270+ degrees. Holly cow !!!
Post # 36 by gisbert another wonderful runner up to this months winner. Can feel the breeze of the passing train of the subject before us.
And Mattking's # 69 wants to pull me right in and cross that bridge and go sit on the bench and observe all the wildlife running around and flying about.

And the winner for this MSA is an old one, post # 28.
It capturers the interest and holds it as one looks about with the other observers in the foreground and back.

Go fer it macfred, ... ya get to chose next months MSA O/N

I'm late to the party ...

Gentlemen, I am really moved ...
I would not have expected that - with so many really worth seeing contributions in this MSA (and I am also very happy about that).
I accept the choice and will think about a new theme this weekend.
