Welcome to this months theme: ... Panorama

Panorama capturers images in an elongated, horizontal field of view. Often being at least twice as wide as it is high.

It can be skyline from a distance, or a close up of an item, .. or terrain.
Up to you how you want to visualize it.
Shoot with the camera you want to use, and crop the image if necessary.
Be creative, but it has to be analog and please do not stich several images together as one needs to
limit the use of manipulation by scanner adjustments as well as digital post processing.

Submissions can be OLD prints/negatives that were taken earlier in the year (or prior)
Submissions can be NEW prints/negatives taken during this month

Please label them accordingly, and note the film type and exposure for reference.

Lets go and have some fun...

That's great! Now I have a reason to service my almost working panoramic camera which I got last autumn! But in case I can't get it working here's an OLD one.

This one was shot with Mamiya RB67 and 90mm or 127mm lens on Kodak Tech pan.

An OLD one - two cropped frames from the Rolleiflex 3.5F Planar on Neopan 400CN . I hope the photograph meets the requirements.

Edit: This is not for the running MSA - it's a panoramic composite.

I'd suggest that diptychs (like macfred's scene of the kids playing in the water), triptychs and darkroom produced multi-image combination prints should be fine!
But I'll leave that decision to you peter.
In the meantime, I'll do my stuff with updating the list of themes used and adjusting which threads are Sticky threads.

In addition, I've taken a stab at updating the MSA guidelines in order to incorporate the recent changes in operation. The further revised guidelines can be found here: https://www.photrio.com/forum/threa...5-07-2019-07-and-2021-12.126124/#post-1667700
If you have suggestions about the guidelines, feel free to post them.

Yes, let's wait and see what Peter thinks. If the image does not meet the rules, we can take it as an example of how not to do it ... No problem.

Thank you Matt for the heads up, as you are increasing my education.
Never knew what a diptychs or triptychs where and had to investigate.
Very interesting... two images as a diptych and three, are a triptych. There set together to tell a story. That could make a new theme all my itself, so will pass on that for this one at this time.

BTW: ... Macfred great images for all the kids playing in the water, in both images, of all ages.

Wow,,, Cholentpot, we take it that this image was not cropped being 16mm. Way cool ...

Nope. No crop. I did it on a whim. I think It's the widest I can go.

Are you saying yes or no to those types of panoramic composites?

Lovely shot ...
Interesting and curious.
So the image looks curved, arched from the center, because being a pinhole, with such a long piece of film to exposé, .. the film plate must not be flat, thus avoiding a distortion at either end of the image?

Yes - it’s a hemispheric film plane, which really helps with avoiding vignetting at the corners. It also helps keep the camera more compact.

Horribly flawed but still, the first image from a new to me Cirkut #6 from 1932. About 6X40" and 270+ degrees rotation. Brutal desert light on a bright winter day, this was 19 Feb 2022. The smaller flag says "Let's Go Brandon."

My gott... love it, this theme is educating me ...
First diptychs and triptychs, then a curved hemispheric film plane, to avoid vignetting for a pinhole shot
and now ...
new to me Cirkut #6 from 1932. About 6X40" and 270+ degrees rotation.

Ha, ... gonna have to get out the old simple 4x5 with de old antique two polar lens system, .. and shoot a panorama on pre cut, long ways, 4x5 film. :surprised:

BTW: Ya got to take another shot, .. or show us some more from before.
Both you and TheFlyingCamera
Hee Hawww bring em on...

Come on, where's your panorama ... its not in your pocket, or your iPhone ... but in your archives or needing to be shot ...
Bring on the film and exposure ...
