June 2023's topic will be photographs that illustrate something about HUMOR- could be a humorous subject, or an ironic juxtaposition, something exhibiting sarcasm, etc. This ought to be interesting to see what Photrio members can come up with, Here are a few starters from me as examples.

Parking Airplanes by Mark Wyatt, on Flickr

masks by Mark Wyatt, on Flickr

Pelicans Fishing by Mark Wyatt, on Flickr

I shutter to imagine what will follow.

What makes you think we are former?

You lot are self governing, we still require the Crown (currently a King) to enact any laws of governance. When the last English Queen died, our Prime Minister headed almost immediately to the Governor General to swear allegiance to the King. Until he swore allegiance, he had no effective power.

An interesting point for you, all of our senior legal people (Silk) needed to change their stationery and swear allegiance to the new Crown. Many of the QC's became KC's overnight. Some have decided to become SC's thereby saving any changes in stationery.

QC Queen's Council, KC King's Council, SC Special Counsel.

If you would like a template on how to change that, there is a tried and true one that we used earlier, and I'm sure we would be happy to share with you.
And if you've ever spent any time around QC's, you would probably realize that they enjoy changing stationery, although most of them now probably print their own letterhead with every letter .
We still require that our laws receive royal assent, but the entity that provides that is our own, local Governor General.
Here is the current Governor General:

Okay Matt, I'll post it here 😀 I took this one mid two weeks ago...With a Holga N and Rollei IR. I forgot cable release adapter at home 🙄 so thought my hand would make for a good shutter during long exposures with the 720 filter... Nope.

A colony of captive Flamingos have, through the breeding generations, lost their legs - having little use for them what with a life in captivity. They spend their lives standing on their heads. Their time is taken by caring for their young or feeding. This bird is building a nest in preperation for bringing a new generation of headstanders into the world.

Louisenpark, Mannheim, Germany; Late 80's; Nikon FM2, Nikkor 200mm f4; Technical Pan, Ilford MGIV RC; No retouching or Photoshop.

2021 negative (she's wearing a mask), and a print so fresh that I haven't even trimmed or flattened it yet.

My shutter finger was one with the wind gusts that day.

Excellent. Reminded me of this one from 2016, which failed to make my personal standard but is possibly worth airing now.
Again, no retouching or Photoshop.
