@TheFlyingCamera: Love the contrast and tone quality of this image. Did you use the R72 on this or without?

Does Rollei IR need to be loaded in complete darkness and developed in a stainless tank like the old HIE stuff?

Yes to the R72 filter, no to the complete darkness stuff - it isn't nearly as IR sensitive as HIE was, plus I'm shooting this in 120 so no light piping from the leader.

I had a similar idea as theflyingcamera for "Power", taken with the Minolta Autocord I purchased from campy51, on Ilford XP2.

Z-Cell Batteries and Heat pump.

Old, taken in 2021.

Our backyard power station, which essentially powers our entire house around the clock; except for the two mid-winter months, June and July.

Shen Hao HZX45-IIA
Fujinon 250mm at f/22

Ilford FP4+

For the enquiring minds, these are hybrid flow batteries and weigh somewhere around 250kg each. The positive and negative electrolyte is all liquid, hence the weight.

The funny horizontal pole with wire at the top of the image, is our rotary clothesline.

Here is mine. This is in the New category, shot first week of this month. Didn't mean to focus on the cylinder head...but that is where the power is made!

Wolfren, there seems to be power all over the place. The cylinder head is interesting to me as looking at the placement of inlet and outlet valves, they change places as you look at each individual cylinder head. Six cylinder, would that be a petroleum powered engine?

Then there is the power in the heavier chain and pulley, not to mention the power in the hook holding crankcase block, which is usually the heaviest component in units like this.

A special mention of the pocket knife, which has been opened to release its cutting power! 😇

Looks like some of the workshops I've done some serious mechanical work in, in the past.

In this case, I had 30 minutes notice that the block needed machining to fit the new crank, rods, and pistons...and all my tools for portable machining were made in the 1930's. But, when your buddy calls, you go.

Great shot Wolfram, and it's hard to beat an old XJ. As the saying goes "They don't make 'em like that any more." Good to see some literal shade tree mechanics happening.

Agree with warden. I love the shade tree aspect of this photo. Really a nice spontaneous composition.

Old - from 2018. Not sure if that house is still upright. There's a tendency for the old farmhouses to be left derelict, eventually to just collapse, as no one lives on many of these farms, anymore. So there are many corn and bean fields with these turbines spinning away over rotting houses. (Negative scan from some film in a Bronica ETR)

The house is smiling looking up at the windmill. There is a Don Quixote joke in there somewhere...

New one from a July 4 auto show. Powerful little Austin-Healey 3000. Leica IIIf with a Summaron 3.5cm f/3.5 lens. The film is Adox HR-50 developed in Beer.

BAC1967, that Healy was a reasonable performer, but I would think the beer you developed the film in, was probably more powerful! 😇

I had a friend who bought one in the early to mid sixties, another friend who managed who somehow managed to buy a Mini Cooper S around the same time. The Cooper S left the Healy for dead; the Healy was a very nice looking car though...

macfred, that Sphinx of Arnhem is the kind of street art that I really like. You've captured it at the right time to get the shadows to show the feathers of the wing.

Bulk diesel transfer, eh; would that have been for a ship?
