I have been thinking about the MSA July - I like it a bit more complicated ...

Each of us certainly knows a poem or another piece of literature such as a short story or a maybe a novel.
Camus, Proust, Defoe, Steinbeck, Hemmingway, Goethe, Scott-Fitzgerald, Tolkien, Salinger, Genet coming to my mind. I am thinking primarily of the classics of literature but your personal favorite literature is welcome.
Many artists through history have drawn inspiration from literature - just do the same!
Submit photos based on a poem, a story, or even a line from a story - try to capture the essence of that poem, story, or line in one photograph.

I'm not sure with the thread title - maybe Matt or another member can help with a better one ...

Great idea macfred. I've tweaked the title slightly - as much to shorten it as anything.
I'll do my stuff with Sticky thread designations and updating the list of themes.

Thank you for the help, Matt !
Advocacy in the most general sense is action that takes place "for others". In a more specific sense, it is representative action taken on behalf of or in the interests of one or more persons ... 🤣

When I saw this tree, and saw the image I produced, I could only think of Tolkien's Hobbit and Lord of the Ring, and I named the image based on that (Taffy of course is the dog). OLD image.

Photograph from June 2022 - just to keep this thread going ...

'Wuthering Heights' - Emily Jane Brontë

“Catherine's face was just like the landscape—shadows and sunshine flitting over it in rapid succession; but the shadows rested longer, and the sunshine was more transient.”

✍️ 🌄🙂

Ah yessss.... very good, as in the image shown.

Where the short impermanent transparency of the sun, ...
merges silently, ...
within the stillness of the shadows below at both the beginning,
or,
the shorting end of the day,
on,
this crust of the earth that we know.

Thank you Macfred! I have to go to the hospital and can't start a new assignment until September 1. So please continue with the previous topic? I'm thinking about the topic "New Topographics photography", LINK1 - LINK 2 if you want you can already collect some or start with something else.

Bertus, ik wens je geluk en gezondheid!

Ik zal Matt om advies vragen, want ik ben zelf op reis en heb weinig gelegenheid om uw nieuwe thema te volgen.

@MattKing

Matt, we need your help with the new theme for MSA. I think ''New Topographics photography" is great one but as I am travelling myself I will have little opportunity to follow.
Will you please start the new theme for our friend Bertus?

I'll see if I can do some fancy Moderator tricks that result in the new theme being started by Bertus in a thread initiated by him.
And Bertus - best wishes!
