Thanks to everyone who has posted so far.
To add to the mix, here is an image from a negative exposed in 2024, of a scene from the 1930s! So "Old" in more than one way.

Another old one. Portuguese fishermen and their families pulling in their catch from the Atlantic. It was a very small village with great sand dunes that is now probably a resort with condos. We ended up spending five hours with them dancing on the beach. A great day with delightful people. I took many photographs of the families, came home and made 8x10 silver prints and had a note typed for me by a Brazilian friend and mailed a box of probably 30-40 prints to one of them who had written his name and address for me. i don't recall the year but it was right after the coup. This was a negative scan from Tri-x 120. Bronica S2A with the 75mm lens.

Since retiring from a 37-year teaching career in higher education last summer, my “workplace” is now in this golf cart. Once a week I drive the course all day, making sure that patrons are not misbehaving or dawdling along and slowing down pace of play.

Yes, I agree. It sure is a tough gig. But golly, someone must do it.

You need to apply to be on the TV show "Dirty Jobs". I don't know how you bear it.

That has some similarities to being a moderator, but a lot more fresh air!
Just today and tomorrow left folks - get your submissions in.

Old - from 20203. Leica something. With a Voightlander wide something lens on it with a wonky lens shade that vignetted two corners.

As we have now reached the end of February, 2025, submissions are closed for this edition of the MSA.
I have a tough job ahead of me here - there are lots of good entries, and deciding which one is going to be tough!
I'll come back later today (March 1st) with my verdict.

Making choices this round is certainly a challenge! There are many that fit perfectly within the theme.
Looking first at the "new" entries, there are only a few that are clearly defined that way:
- @What About Bob 's trio of "Taking the Heat" images, and
- @russljames ' "Marshal".
While tough to choose between, my past interest in golfing probably causes me to lean toward @russljames ' "Marshal".
I considered all the rest, including those that are not clearly identified as "New" or "Old", for the "Old " category.
It is great seeing the wide variety of workplaces, from a wide variety of geographic locations. The photos themselves are well done, and the variety of work depicted - from the very old, to the very modern - is truly impressive.
So with great trepidation about all the excellent submissions I'm not choosing, I've landed ("docked"?) on @loccdor 's very expansive image of the men working to coordinate the docking of a ferry on the Greek island of Kithnos - shown in post #25 - as my choice for the "Old" category.
And between the "Old" and the "New"?
I give the nod to @loccdor 's image of the men working to coordinate the docking of a ferry on the Greek island of Kithnos.
So congratulations @loccdor , you are up. It is your turn to choose the theme for the March 2025 MSA and to start the appropriate thread.
If you need help setting the thread up for the next MSA, just ask.
