I don't have much on this theme.

Old one. Just a Pentax Spotmatic snap on a Super Takumar 50mm f/1.4 of my Dad playing my guitar in 2011 on Tri-X.

Old one, last year, on Acros, Sigma 105mm macro lens.

Laurent, I can well imagine some people emerging onto their balconies and throwing some money at the Lisbon accordion player, so he would leave them in peace.

Great use of the 1.4 lens and HP5 film.

The pattern in the paving stones, look to be another interesting composition......

Alarming Music Machine

New, exposed and developed yesterday.

Shen Hao HZX45-IIA
Fujinon f/6.3 250mm
Ilford FP4+
1/30 at f/22
Lastolite reflector used as a diffuser.

This has travelled the world with me, and rarely left my bedside after buying it in Germany in 1994. Unfortunately, it died on me last week after thirty and a half years of alarming me every morning . I've found a replacement Braun unit that looks to be identical in size, shape and capabilities, it should be here in a week or so.

Makes me wonder if this Citizen unit was a rebadged Braun unit, especially as I picked it up in a watchmakers shop in Frankfurt a few doors from my guesthouse. I had left my previous alarm clock the night before in an Innsbruck guesthouse and needed to be sure I woke up to catch my flight home.

@loccdor @Laurent @What About Bob @Mick Fagan

These are some great contributions to our December theme.
Believe me, it doesn't make the decision for a winner in this competition any easier.
Thank you for your active participation. 👍

Agree. Many good ones here. I really like the "Lisbon at night" image for the composition, positioning of the subject and lighting. "The Hills are Alive with the Sound of Music" for the feeling of serenity. Away from all of the chaos.

I had one or two other old images but now I cannot locate them, neither the negatives. They were in my hands not to long ago too. It's one of those things where if you are looking for something then you will not find it. it is only when you aren't looking for said item(s) that "then they will magically reappear." When putting things away for safe keeping I sometimes do a really bang up job with forgetting where I had put them, lol. For someone with OCD this can sometimes hurt when not getting things done in a certain way or within a certain time. OCD is both a positive high motivator as well as a curse. Whenever I find those extra images I will hold onto them for some other occasion.

Good luck to the winner and will be looking forward to the next MSA!

Surprised coming across this one. Very first E6 process that I did back on May 31 of 1993 and the funny thing about it is that the second frame on the strip is that of a marching band.

Old Image: 05/31/1993
"First E6 Marching Band"

Pentax K-1000 with 50mm f/2 lens
Exposure unknown
Fujichrome 50 developed in Kodak's E6 kit

And the winner is @jeffreyg

My absolute favorite is Jeffrey's photography - I like the composition, exposure and elaboration equally well.
Well done, Jeffrey - now it's your turn to decide the theme for the January MSA.
Many thanks to all participants. So many remarkable photographs - thank you!

Another old one. Ilford Delta 400 120, Hasselblad 80mm lens. exposure not recorded. Some years ago while in Salzburg I went out early to do some photography and heard band music. I followed the sound and came to a large open square that was filled with musicians and others in various period garb. It turned out to be a folkloric festival that happened once every ten years and ended with a parade with horses, marching bands men as soldiers with old muskets etc.

Thank you all for the kind remarks. It was Ilford Delta 400 120 with a Hasselblad and 80mm lens hand held . Printed on Ilford multigtade fiber based paper Omega D2 enlarger Aristo VCL4500 light source. I don't recall the settings. To start the new year off I and the helpful moderator ( 😉 ) have started a new thread with a new MSA theme: the subject will be "AS SEEN".
You can find it here: https://www.photrio.com/forum/threads/msa-january-2025-as-seen.211094/

I've split @jeffreyg 's post into two, and moved the information about the January 2025 theme to its own thread.
