(New) Founders’ Oak

Two columns help to support the massive trunk of this live oak tree, dedicated in 2012 as being a “Famous Tree of Texas”, and believed to date to the early 1700’s.

Taken April 24- Canon F1n, 50mm f1.4, Fomapan 400 (shot at ISO 800) developed in HC-110-unaltered negative scans.

As always, lots of interesting entries in this month's MSA, but this composition stood out a bit:

Congratulations Andy, you get to choose the next subject!

Excellent choice!
Okay @Andrew O'Neill - you are up at bat for the next round!

I though I knew my way around Rome, but I have never seen that obelisk. Do you remember where it is?

It is close to the Pantheon, from the front in the street on the left, Piazza della Minerva.
So much interesting places, do you know Tazza d'Oro?
