Hello MSA folks and everyone!
One of the most fun parts of APUG is ready for another round.

My daughter Emily chose the theme for this round: Flying through the Sky.

If you are thinking of playing to the judges, she'll also be helping choose the winner on New Year's Day.
Don't think that means a narrow interpretation, just the opposite: you have huge creative latitude.

You can find the general rules for the Monthly Shooting Assignment [MSA] at this link: (there was a url link here which no longer exists)

Entries should be taken between 1 November and 31 December 2015.

We welcome photos that fit the theme from outside those times, and love to see them in the thread, but not as entries for the assignment. Of course all photographs should originate from analog photography; this is APUG.

Be creative and have fun!

Wow - I may have already images for this round that I shot today! The only question is, as with almost all rounds, will I be able to develop and scan the film in time?

Just want to share

with my MSA counterparts my successful launch of a fine art exhibit.
This will be my last solo show as advancing age makes it too difficult to mount an adequate display.
I printed fourteen 11x14 B&W photos, matted and framed to 16x20. A dozen color images were sent out to commercial labs.
The title of the show was "Backstage" and included photographs of young dancers waiting to perform in recitals.
They were hung in a local gallery (see attached) and I had a Meet&Greet last Thursday.
Many friends and family attended. Another item off my Bucket List!

Thanks Bertus!

Well folks, we're half way through and still no entries.
I'm afraid this is not as good a topic as I hoped.

Still plenty of time to shoot and develop!

I think it is a good topic, but the holidays make it hard to find the time, I will give it a try .

Flying Through the sky!

Well, I had some ideas about this topic but they didn't work out too well. So, here are my 3 submissions:
1. "The Moon" flies (slowly) through the sky
2. "Snow Flakes" fly through the sky but we had no snow this year so I hung artificial ones on a tree
3. "Balloons" fly through the sky when you let go of the string

Happy Holidays to all and a healthy peaceful 2016!
