Ohhh like this... awesome..
and from your comments on Gallery.. "Attempts to reproduce the effect unsuccessful so far."
So much like our own world.. not often reproduced, as it is always in form of change ...

I have a long term project of making landscape photos with a pinhole camera: handheld exposure of 40 seconds (no tripod or leaning).
I like the dreamy - or sometimes even surreal - images due to the slight movement of my body during exposure.
This is a new installment in this series:
Ondu-6x6-Fuji-NPC160-02-WEB.jpg

(Ondu 6x6 pinhole camera, Fuji NPC160 (expired 2004), exposure 40 seconds handheld)

I made this image early August 2016 at the river IJssel at sunset.
I live near the river IJssel and like to make long walks along it banks, carrying only my camera, my thoughts and my silence.

I spend a few hours a week in the car, commuting from home to Springfield, Illinois for work. For a couple months, the frontage road along Interstate 55 was closed, and the below sign appeared along I-55.

As road nerds in the US know, US 66 was decommissioned a few decades ago, but apparently this sign brought a few miles of it back to life, as you notice there's no "Old" banner on it, just "Detour." Shot on my Imperial Debonair on Kodak Ektar 100; light leaks included at no extra charge.

This is the moment to tell which photo I prefer in this MSA.
By a large variation in style, approach and technique you could classify the work in different categories.
For example: color, black and white, portraits, nature, abstraction, pinholes, colored etc.
Then to technique, emotion, suspense, composition, creativity etc.
In this way one would be able to choose multiple "best pictures" because there are!!!!
My compliments for the submitted work, it was of high quality. What a luxury I was able to look at this work side by side.
The photo which appealed me the most was made by BarbaraAnn : My Backyard, photo with the young girl and bubbles.
She may start the next MSA. I thank you all for the wonderful submitted work.

Oh. My. Goodness! When I saw the very wonderful entries for this contest, I was sure mine would not be chosen!
I therefore didn't give even a thought as to a new topic!
Thank you Bertus and everyone for your generous and kind comments!
I so love being a part of this group. It amazes me that we come from all parts of the
world and yet are connected by film photography.
Please give me a day to come up with something with which you can all enjoy working .
I promise I will post tomorrow and yes, Toad Man, I will probably need assistance
with creating a new thread.
Once again great thanks everyone!
Fondly,
barbara ann

Hi barbara ann,
If you like, just send me a message with your theme (+ explanation) and I'll make the new thread for you (with the guidelines, etc).

Matt, I think I sent Bert the new topic to start a new thread. As soon as he does, will you do the "sticky thing" please? (What is that anyway?) Thanks very much.

It's a great new theme from barbara ann for the MSA Sept./Oct. 2016. I've posted the new thread here:
(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

Matt, will you unstick the old thread and make the new thread a sticky again?
(A "sticky" means that this thread always stays on top in its group. this you can always see the latest MSA on top when you go here:
(there was a url link here which no longer exists)
)

Consider this thread "unstuck" and the new thread "stuck" (to the top of the sub-forum).

Thanks barbara ann, and thanks Bert.
