We are taking a family vacation through the Pacific Northwest and then over to the Idaho panhandle. I'm bringing plenty of film and have a couple ideas for this MSA, but won't be home to develop the film and make prints for a few weeks. I think my wife is taking her laptop, so I'll probably check in on APUG occasionally
OK. I've posted my "Suggest" submissions to the MSA Gallery.
Now I'll try posting them in the MSA thread.
Champagne for two, candlelight, flower "suggests" a romantic evening in progress.
A large fungal growth "suggests" a damp, warm location.
Deer netting protecting tender plant shoots "suggests" hungry deer in the area.
" Practicing the arts...is a way to make your soul grow." Kurt Vonnegut
Here's a failed MSA attempt, but I'll post it so you can see what I was trying to do. There was smoke from a forest fire in the air, and it was very bright, with white sky, reflecting lots of sunlight. This was supposed to be a play on negative space, I thought the highlights on the lake to the right would blow out leaving only the reflections of hills on the water, and leaving the sky and water as negative space with the layered "misty" hills floating between. I should have known: acros has an amazing ability to capture detail in highlights.
I like the print anyway, but it's not what I intended
