Interesting. Hydroquinone developers have long been used in staining nerve tissue. Google Bodian technique. Here's an example

http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CB0QFjAAahUKEwiYubDB5cHIAhWE2RoKHbpOBD4&url=http%3A%2F%2Flibrary.med.utah.edu%2FWebPath%2FHISTHTML%2FMANUALS%2FBODIAN.PDF&usg=AFQjCNFG2otS59lVlRQGlBdufAYJGjfyaA&bvm=bv.104819420,d.d24&cad=rja

I knew HQ is used in skin lightening but in the "I wish I didn't know this" category, I learned it is also used in something called anal bleaching. Apologies in advance. https://anusbleaching.wordpress.com/tag/hydroquinone/

OMG, I think I've found my calling! I always thought about a career as a gynecologist, but could never take that much schooling or money to do it. But anal bleach specialist sounds like a possibility? Of course the sign above my door would say "Ladies only". To be honest I don't think I want to use HQ on any part of my body. Especially there! My wife says I wouldn't need it anyway 'cause I'm already a perfect one. John W

Why do people do crazy things like that. It seems that if it's the same Hydroquinone that we use in our developers it can't be good for you. I'm certainly going to let my brown spots live on with no bleaching that's for sure. Beside, I would be to embarrassed to go to the beach like that.
Back to staining..............I've tried to add different amounts of Hydroquinone to my home-brewed Perceptol with a 1+3 dilution and came back with negatives that had no stain that I could see. Maybe to much Sodium Sulfite? I have 1lb of it on the shelf and I know for sure that I'll never use it in my lifetime. John W

Only 2 grams sulfite per liter will kill the stain. That's not much.
