Mounting board thickness

I see some suppliers of mounting board describe the thickness in micron.

How many micron equal 1, 2, 3 & 4 ply?

It depends solely on the manufactor of the board, as there is no standard for mount board thickness. I've seem some 4-ply that was only 2/3 the thickness of another brand of 4-ply.

4 ply is around 1500 micron. i.e. 1.5mm

and since ply is in multiples you can work the rest out yourself but all figures are approximate and as has been said, vary from make to make.

Yes I have seen 4 ply board from two different manufacturers which was quite different in thickness.
