I have a spare 40mm Leitz Focotar I would like to mount on my LPL 4x5 enlarger, but it won't focus with the standard lensboard. Is there a recessed lensboard for this enlarger or is there another trick to mounting a short-focus lens, or am I just out of luck? Thanks for your help.

The LPL 4x5 lens mounts are reversible to become, in effect, recessed mounts. I use a 50mm EL-Nikkor on my 4500II that way.

Oren:Thanks. I'll try that when I get home tonight and let you know how it works. I never thought of that,
Jim
