Hi all

is the motor winder for RZ reliable? does it save time and hassle
in the long run or just break down and cause more hassle?
also, does it wind film on in an even fashion, or does it take liberties
with the gap in between exposures and you end up with half a frame
toward the end?

if anyone has used one of these, tell me your thoughts on them.

I have a winder for my RZ but don't use it often. It works fine and I have no issues with the frames on the roll. It adds a fair amount of weight, and IMO is for tripod use only. The main benefit is for times when you need to make sequence shots quickly, multiple exposures on the same neg, or using a remote trigger. It burns batteries fairly quickly.

Ditto Bob. It also adds considerable height and some wobble to the whole boat anchor that is an RZ plus prism plus back plus lens plus winder. Bur it works
well, albeit it ain't no speed demon.
