I'd hang on to that '06, if you don't it will beat you up pretty bad. You can get away with it with the .223 though. I bought that .22/250 I mentioned - with the Unertl scope - for $280. I figured I was getting a steal of a deal on the scope and a free rifle. The scope's worth around $700 used.

The '06 doesn't kick any worse than a 12ga with magnum 3" shells... perhaps a bit sharper but no harder. I guess the 12ga is slightly more of a push than a jab, like the '06.

The above stated, even a 1200mm lens on a 16x20" camera has no kick at all... but the carry weight along with the holders and tripod..........

No, I wrote that you can keep the toga but I want the flash... complete with red button and focus eye... but no corrosion. You said you'd sell it to me for $40 and I expect you to do so. Otherwise I'll scream and stamp my little feet!!

hmmm
not sure where the flash came from, there isn't one for sale
or included in the sale of the filter holder .. and while i can probably flash-you
where i am, i don't think without digital technology ( which i lack )
it will do you any good
by the way, i m not confused enough to sell it for $40 yet
you will have to do better than that if you want it for 260$ off !

i forgot to mention. i only accept bilgeKeen, its like bitecoin but they mine them
in in southern india where barges and boats are deconstructed,
if youdon't have bilgeKeen i don't think this is going to work out
because i have decided to NOT use mainstream currency for anything anymore.

if you end up stomping your feet, you might scare up some earthworms, i will also
accept earthworms in this transaction, but youwill have to send me jpegs
so i can figure out depending on the size what they are worth.

nooo
i have to figure out the $40 to earthworm conversion and depending on
the girth of the worm and length of the work you will get a different amount of money for them.
usually the big ones sell for 20/$1 to give you an idea, smaller ones are a different price ..
-- i don't have a light saber flash, ONLY a xenophon ...

First of all you stated that you have a lightsaber flash for sale... I distinctly remember this. Secondly, you clearly stated 40 earthworms as the price. You're obviously trying to cheat me.

Old-N-Feeble,

To fill you in on the running joke... In the Boy Scouts, when you earn the "Totin' Chip" it carries a responsibility. If anyone catches you doing something unsafe with wood tools, they can cut a corner off the card. When all four corners are gone they can take away your card and you have to go back and earn it again.

My f/64 card, earned when I started shooting 4x5 in search of the high resolution silver bullet, has been in jeopardy since discussions here. Notably conversations with Thomas Bertillson (who makes a good argument that 35mm is all you need). And jnanian, who asserts (I think sarcastically), that you should use the most expensive equipment and then take pictures looking out the side window from inside a moving car.

You said "show me"... Here's the bokeh of my 4x5 camera.

oscilloscope2.JPG

Dang if that isn't the "poor bokeh".

Sorry I don't want to part with my spare Kenwood scope, odd though that the price $40 is being bandied about because that's what I paid for the scope.

Must be the going price for a silver bullet these days.

Bill, that's nice bokeh. How does it sound though? BTW, there's more than one running joke in this thread. And you don't know the other one... nanny-nanny-boo-boo.:D

It sounds great. But like analog photography, analog audio has its "fiddly" nature. If we have company over and I just want to tune in a radio station... There'll be a bad connection between the aerial and tuner, even after I climb on the roof and check the rotor. I only get a faint signal that barely registers on the signal meter. Then Monday I go to check it and the needle's pegged out and everything is fine. Right now I just checked and it's fine. I listened to about a dozen commercials. Then finally they play a song. It's Led Zeppelin from "In Through the Out Door". That's fine... Except back in the old days I would ALWAYS play that album to check the sound of my record player. I want to hear some music. Not just test signals.

Oh... you can't be Sirius.

I don't really want to subscribe to satellite radio, so you're right... can't be Sirius.

But about what I wrote, every word is literally true. I think I sold the Led Zepplin record at a garage sale - can't find it now. And I wanted to finish that watercolor on the cover.

I'm probably too old to get it anyway (55)... Don't tell me though, it would spoil the fun like when someone posted the answer on George Takei's facebook post "The Hidden Tiger". I can't un-find it.

i think you need to re-read the parts of this thread where i mentioned the earthworms, the only form of payment i usually accept
and the conversion factor, as well as the flash / light(saber).. whew, at least you didn't want to purchase a set of concave gclaron cells
they look like welding goggles at this point and sell for more blge than worm..

---

bill, i only use the best of the best to make auto exposures
('ive been using a leica m3ds and a sumayadda yadda ) works wonderfully !
soon i'll be using an ebony 11x14 i traded for a few 20x24 prints, and a 11oo schneider xxl
but don't tell anyone i back focus AND unscrew the rear element 1/2 a turn the bookey is just-right!
be careful with that card, 1 more clip you need to be re-educated !

sorry

i didn't say that

in case you have been unable to use the "back button"
have a transcript of my end or our conversation ..

===

behind the lens filter holder

you are getting there, but slowly,
you probably can get a deal on barely used ... mint condition NIB sort of optics like you want,
or at least an overpriced chinese made knockoff. ive got some connections on alibaba i can coax
i also have set of some concave front elements ... what focal lengths do you need ?
i can't sell them cheap though, i am working on making steam punk spectacles with them
and they sell for even more than the graflex/graphic flash post did 10-12years ago when
star wars fans were making light sabers.

yup ...
and if you try to confuse me i might be able to sell the one i have for $40 ..

the toga is NOT included !

i think i am going to have to raise my price to at least $400 because of the extra time i have spent on this thread
AND you haven't confused me enough, sorry ONF .. just to make sure you realize
i can't accept anything but BilgeKeen, no earthworms no american or euro currency, no bank cheques no money orders, no bitcoin,

sorry ...
