When shooting the moon, isn't the problem that it is moving across the sky at a remarkable rate such that the sort of increase in exposure from a ND filter is liable to give the moon that elongated oval look?Moon filters are just neutral density filters. So you want an ND filter for your camera. You can also use a variable polarizer as a variable ND filter if you want.

My issue is the glow on the moon. It really shows up on the paper when il get the enlarger going and im not sure if im actually focused or not.. and it looks funny on the finished print.
