For all you historic/alternative printers in Santa Cruz and Bay Area.
I would like to announce that there is a new group "Historic Photo Processes Forum" which will begin meeting on September 29, 2012 at the Museum of Art & History in Santa Cruz.
Here is the link--- Historic Photo Processes Forum | Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History at the McPherson Center
Thanks to the efforts of Charles Berger, we have a room at the museum for our monthly meetings. Each meeting will feature a guest speaker and an opportunity to see and share contemporary work made using vintage photographic printmaking techniques. I have high hopes for this new group to inspire, share ideas, exchange knowledge and see some really great art.
The 1st meeting will have Charles discussing the UltraStable color carbon process and displaying prints. For October I have been informed that we will have Jim Collum speaking on Platinum Printing and in November we have Hedwig Heerschop speaking on gum bichromate. I have seen the work of all these artists and can say that their prints are stunning.
Hope to see you there
Rob
