Monochrome paper, coloured base

Can anyone tell me about monochrome papers that have a couloured base? I've recently bought some Guilleminot paper that seems to have been made as a brown. The attached photo shows the box, some lith prints and a Kodak grayscale.

used to be a "Thing" remember seeing ads for such stuff from "Lumionos" or something like tat.

Indeed!
Luminos made photo paper with base colors...(red, blue, green, etc.) back in the '70's...
It went well with shag carpet, bell-bottoms, and avocado-colored appliances.
