Its early Sun morning, rocking to Kim Mitchell and Beastie Boy's and making a few lith prints.

Mixed up some Moersch 5 lith developer , with fotospeed lith , and Ilford Warmtone.

All I can say is Wow, this chem is really , really responsive and reminds me of the lith chems I was using in the 90's.

I do not work for any of the above company's but I am compelled to endorse the above products, what a combination.

Old Brown 1 litre , A B 1-8 dilution and my prints are coming up under 4mins and I am loving the results.

Andrew and Bob,

Have you compared the Moersch product to Fotospeed LD20? I've not been able to work out whether the additional components for the SE-5 kit have generic equivalents that can be used with LD20, or whether one is better off buying the SE-5 kit for ease of use.

This chem reminds me very much like the old Champion Nova Lith originating from Mississauga Ontario.
when a and b are mixed a spew of white cloudy gunk is created** no sick minds here**
I have not seen this for quite awhile with the rollie , arista, macoe that I have been using since Champion went off the market.

even the smell reminds me like the old days.
I definately will start using the Moersch as a result of my unscientific testing.
I just really like the tone, speed and results.

smells like , looks like , taste like , it must be the good shit

The addiction has always been here, I am just happy to have found something that really works .. As you know 30 min dev is not for me , give me 4 min and look for the image to pop.
Now what papers beside Ilford Warmtone can I buy in mural size.. 100ft rolls, not these shitty little 30ft curly rolls.
Ready for the addiction ? The additives are crazy. You will love it Bob.

I believe that A+B of SE5 have no restrainers, therefore the quick response. Additives C+D add sulfite and bromide respectively.

What kind of tray/print life did you get with your mixture, Bob? I know you mix up quite a bit at one time...

Tom for the most part I use Ilford Warmtone, Ilford Mg4 glossy and Matt, as well the digital fibre paper.
All these papers come in 100ft rolls and are a breeze to work with.

Smaller rolls curl and create all kinds of nonsense when putting them on the easel, as well getting the first coating of developer on them.
A typical day will find me printing anywhere from 30 to 70 ft of paper so cutting from the same roll is good.
Also Ilfords packaging is first rate and I can cut from the box. The smaller length rolls from other vendors seem to be in less robust packaging.

I have been asking Mirko now for two years about his paper , but to date I have not seen it in mural size.
Do you only print on ILFORD photographic paper?

I mixed yesterday afternoon and pushed through about 20 sheets of 16x20 Ilford warmtone, for one client, I put a garbage bag over the developer and this morning I put through about 20 8x10 sheets of Fotospeed. Yesterday and Today was magic and I did not have to replenish. I really like this dev.

I mixed the bottle of A and B I believe to be about 600ml each , two litres of old brown, and 8 litres of water.
My exposure times were around 15 seconds two stops down, and about 3-4 minutes for the pull times.
So the tray lasted almost 24hours,

Anyone her know where I can buy larger sizes in bulk of this dev??

Bob,
More seriously I understand your need to get lith fast to not spend too much time on each print.
But... Try a little bit more diluted and little bit more time in the tray.
Magic stuff. If you already get magic you might get "double magic"
Haha !

Ha Ha. Guillaume is right Bob, you impatient man!
BTW LD20 is your original Novolith. Back on the market soon.
Didn't get my newsletter?

I am so glad that you liked the chemicals! Now you know why I have a Sh!!%$@*load of chemistry around. Not because I am a packrat but because I love choice. Never know what will turn ones crank. Moersch rocks. But hey... 20 minutes? I really understand Bob's impatience. I too wish to get rid of the bad thoughts when standing over a developer bath for 20 minutes. Makes me think about wet jobs in Romania, get rid of the head of intelligence.... believing 9/11 was a conspiracy... yes but whose... aliens live among us posing as right-wing politicians to get rid of our free will..

Okay what I mean to say is that standing over a print for 20 minutes is not healthy!

To clarify, the comment about "aliens live among us posing as right-wing politicians to get rid of our free will" was not meant to imply it was about something illusory, about something illusory... it is real.
